The Sound Of Music CHILDREN’S AUDITIONS

These Open Auditions will be held on SUNDAY 27th MAY at 11am in our rehearsal hall in Clifton Road (see Contact Us page for directions.)

The roles to be auditioned are:
Liesl (girl) aged 16,
Friedrich (boy) ~ 14, with unbroken voice,
Louisa (girl) ~ 13,
Kurt (boy) ~ 10,
Brigitta (girl) ~ 9,
Marta (girl) ~ 7,
Gretl (girl) ~ 5.

THE AUDITIONING CHILDREN NEED TO APPEAR THE AGE STATED ABOVE ON STAGE, REGARDLESS OF THEIR ACTUAL AGE.

Auditionees will be expected to know the songs ‘The Hills Are Alive With The Sound Of Music’ and ‘The Lonely Goatherd.’ All children will be asked to sing only in unison for the auditions.

There is no need to pre-register for these auditions … PLEASE JUST TURN UP ON THE DAY at 11am.

For those cast, rehearsals will begin in June and run right through until the show in November. More than likely, they will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:30. In the final 6 weeks before the show, rehearsals also take place on Sunday afternoons.
