The Festive Season approaches!

Published:

As it is still only November, I hesitate to use that exciting, emotive and maybe stress-giving word which begins with “Christ” (which is what it  is really all about) and ends with “mas,” but at BOST we are already well into our preparations.

In order to bring you a fresh, meaningful, atmospheric concert in December, our soloists and chorus are rehearsing those well-loved Carols, light-hearted Christmas (oops! Now I’ve said it!) songs, unfamiliar gems and favourite pieces.  We are certain our programme will include something to please and delight everyone.  I wonder which tune you’ll be humming as you make your way home…?

Our friends, the renowned Haydock Silver Band, are again joining us for the Fanfare, adding their wonderful, rousing sound to the occasion.  Their choices of music are always a pleasure to listen to and BOST relishes the annual opportunity to sing with them in the joint numbers we present.  Where else can we all, audience as well as choir, raise our voices to the accomaniment of such a sound?

Catch this year’s FANFARE FOR CHRISTMAS at the GLADSTONE THEATRE, Port Sunlight, on TUESDAY 17th and WEDNESDAY 18th DECEMBER beginning at 7:30pm.

Tickets are £12, and £10 for Concessions,  and are are available from the theatre.
