Rave reviews for ‘My Fair Lady’

Published:

Following our short – but very sweet – run of ‘My Fair Lady’ staged concerts earlier this month, we have received some loverly feedback from audience members and theatre critics alike.

Here are just a few comments, reviews and pieces of feedback received:

“The programme describes this on it’s front as ‘A staged concert celebrating 60 years of this Glorious show’. These words do not do justice to this tribute: this was a simply splendid production in a magnificent setting and few amateur societies I am sure could have brought it to fruition. The production ran to only two performances. I saw the afternoon show and would have cheerfully sat through the evening one as well.

“BOST themselves left no stone unturned when it came to transporting the audience to Edwardian England and recreating the magic of “My Fair Lady”. This company knows how to do musical theatre in style. What is really noteworthy about this company is the strength of their impressive male cast which is often a rarity in amateur musical theatre companies. The harmonies were rich, the accents were apt, the choreography was slick- I could not fault the whole performance and the superb energy which came from each and every individual on stage. This concert is a delightful tribute to a timeless musical with its magnificent costumes, glorious singing and skilled acting making for a polished and professional night of entertainment.”
