Raising funds for Cancer UK

Published:

Our Concert Party was out near Warrington last Wednesday evening, supporting Beryl Chadwick in her bid to raise money for Cancer UK.

Beryl had liaised with the Secretary of the Concert Party, Beth Beattie, who then put together an entertaining evening of songs old and new.

The mixed programme was well received by an enthusiastic audience, and a wonderful sum in excess of £600 was raised for this worthy Charity.

One of Beryl’s co-workers, Jim Sparks, is a keen amateur photographer, and he took some shots during the performance. We thank Jim for the photographs you see, which feature Beryl with Beth, various members of the Concert Party in action, and our accompanist, Rose MacPherson.

We are so pleased to have taken a part in the raising of this sizeable donation to an extremely important cause.
