2 years ago, we auditioned nearly 200 keen and talented girls to find the perfect cast for our Christmas production of ANNIE at the Liverpool Empire. It was a huge and exciting process, which ultimately led to unforgettable performances by all the girls, at 5 sell-out shows.
A certain Beau Dermott with a wonderful voice unexpected for her age, was cast as ‘Duffy,’ one of the featured older orphans. Now look at the wider recognition she is receiving for her talent!
We are thrilled to see Beau showcasing her beautiful voice with such obvious enjoyment on Britain’s Got Talent and it is great to see she still remains an “ordinary” grounded, family girl.
Everyone at BOST is proud of Beau, and we are all rooting for her, as we were for our former members Richard & Adam when they were climbing the BGT ladder, as she now is. Whatever happens next (and we’re crossing all our fingers & toes!) whether or not she wins the final, she is already a national star, and many opportunities are certain to come her way.
Many of our Annie orphans joined us at our recent Gala Concerts to help celebrate BOST’s 90th birthday. In answer to Beau’s invitation, her dad replied, “Unfortunately Beau has got a lot on in May that she is already committed to …” Little did we know back then what he really meant!
GO, BEAU! Enjoy your Final song. Your talent shines through and you’re definitely our winner.
