Arguably the best barber in Victorian London, Sweeney Todd infamously uses his cut throat razors to seek revenge on those with whom he bears a grudge.
Fast forward over 100 years and professional barbers today prefer a bloodless method when it comes to shaving their clients.
For those opting to stay true to their roots using traditional bladed razors, instead of electric shavers, one innovative Liverpool company is helping these shaving professionals to maintain their perfectly sharp and pristine razor blades in a novel way.
BOST are pleased to be collaborating with Collectric Ltd, distributors of the iHead Sphynx ShaveStation, to raise awareness of the unique sensor-based device, which maintains the peak condition of razors to allow smooth shaving.
Dave Hellier, Owner of Collectric Ltd said: “I was really impressed with BOST’s performance of ‘Oliver!’ last year at the Royal Court theatre.
“When I heard that they were performing ‘Sweeney Todd’ next, I was keen to get involved as a number of my business activities link in with the musical thriller.”
Collectric Ltd, who are based in Sensor City, will be showcasing one of the iHead Sphynx ShaveStation machines in the Royal Court theatre during the week of the show.
The ShaveStation razor blade cleaning appliance which is used by barbers, hairdressers and body hair specialists has a self contained water supply and portable structure which allows for a shorter preparation time, reduced water usage and a reduced risk of cross infection.
Live demonstrations of the unit in action will take place ahead of each performance in the Circle’s bar area of the theatre. Other Sphynx appliances, tools and products dedicated to razor head shaving will also be on display.
