We are proud to announce that we have been nominated for five awards for our most recent shows.
We are delighted that our May 2012 production of ‘Oliver’ has been put forward for the prestigious ‘Best Musical’ award by NODA North West. Tony Prince, who played the role of ‘Fagin’ in the show, has been nominated for the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ award and Linzi Stefanov has been nominated as ‘Best Actress’ for playing ‘Nancy’ in the same production.
In addition, BOST’s Chairman Meryl Langford has been recognised for her performance as ‘The Mother Abbess’ in our most recent show ‘The Sound of Music’, with seven year old Emma Hall also being nominated for her performance of ‘Gretl’ in the same November 2012 production.
NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) sends representatives to watch productions across the country and from the hundreds of shows, actors and actresses they see, just a handful from each region are picked to go through to a glitzy award ceremony each year.
This year’s North West award ceremony is taking place on Sunday 5th May in Blackpool
