No production of ‘Sweeney Todd’ would be complete without Mrs Lovett and her pie shop, and our front of house activity during ‘Sweeney Todd’ at Liverpool’s Royal Court theatre will be no different.
Having already collaborated with innovative razor-cleaning device distributor, Collectric Ltd, BOST are excited to announce another partnership with Pieminister.
The nationwide pie company will be exhibiting ahead of each performance in the theatre’s Circle bar area and will be showcasing their latest menus to theatre-goers.
Pieminister’s award winning pies unfortunately won’t be available to sample in the theatre, however their new Liverpool restaurant is just a short walk away.
Located on Liverpool’s bustling Bold Street, Pieminister have a pie to satisfy every taste bud – from free-range British meat pies to gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan. The 80-seater restaurant also serves ice cream sundaes, craft ales and cocktails.
Elliott Bleasdale, General Manager of Pieminister Liverpool said: “We are one of 9 Pieminister restaurants around the UK, which collectively produce around 100,000 pies a week!
“Our laidback surroundings paired with great music and a well-stocked bar is proving very popular with our customers, as well as seeing rising demand for our corporate, wedding and Christmas party services.”
Pieminister also runs a ‘Sweeney Todd’ themed Escape Room, in conjunction with their Nottingham restaurant.
Diners find themselves lost along the dark, eerie cobbles of Victorian Fleet Street and stumble into an old barber’s shop. Finding themselves locked in with their untimely death looming they must escape the clutches of the Demon Barber before suffering the slice of his blade!
It’s safe to say that Mrs Lovett has a long way to go to achieve the accolade of making the ‘Best Pies in London’, although having sampled Pieminister’s menu, they must surely be front-runners to claim the Liverpool title.
