WANTED ~ DOGS to audition for “SANDY”

Published:

Next Sunday (10th August) is a big day in the canine world…  It is the day a very special dog will be chosen to star as Sandy in our November production of “Annie” at the Liverpool Empire Theatre!

Pooches, mutts, pedigrees and ‘heinzes’ are all welcome to come along to our hall at 24a Clifton Road, Birkenhead for 11am on Sunday to try out.  Our ideal candidate must be friendly, obedient and able to work comfortably with the lights and sounds of the theatre.  The successful dog will be creamy-/ginger-/sand-coloured (of course!) but size is not a major issue.

If you would like your dog to be considered, please just bring him/her to see us this Sunday.  Directions to our hall can be found on the Contact Us page of this website.  On-road parking is available.

Once cast, “Sandy,” the stray dog befriended by orphan Annie, will be working with the child and adult cast on stage and in rehearsals in the run-up to the show.  The musical will be performed 27th – 30th November at 7:30 Thursday to Saturday with a 2:30 matinee on both Saturday 29th  and Sunday 30th.

We are very much looking forward to meeting all those lovely, cuddly, cute, long-legged, furry, hefty, energetic, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed dogs with theatrical potential.  Perhaps your dog will have what it takes to become “Sandy.”  Bring him or her to BOST and have fun finding out!
