BOST awarded BEST MUSICAL accolade

At the annual National Operatic and Dramatic Association NW conference, it was announced that BOST had won the NODA award for “Best Musical, 2008-9” for our Capital of Culture production of THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL at the Empire Theatre last May.

The first picture is of our Chairman Meryl Langford with Bert Lumsden the National President of NODA. In the second, Jason Weightman (on the left) is seen celebrating the “Best Supporting Actor” award for his role of the sinister Frenchman, Citizen Chauvelin, the Scarlet Pimpernel’s nemesis. Also in this photograph are Mike and Julia Carroll. who played the leading roles of Sir Percy (the Pimpernel) Blakeney and his French wife, Marguerite St Just. The following photographs show some of the other happy BOST Members attending the event.
